Valley West Stampede announces special rodeo cider, beer

Valley West Stampede (VSW) will have its own cider this year. Last year, the Lower Mainland’s newest rodeo partnered with a local brewery to release a unique beer. This year they’ll have two beers from Camp Beer Co. and two ciders from Fraser Valley Cider Company.

Valley West Stampede became a Golden Circle of Champions rodeo in 2025. This year, the pro rodeo welcomes their latest champions—twin bothers Weston and Bennett. Miss Rodeo Canada Abbey Harty and Miss TeePee Creek Stampede Ainsley Zayac outfitted the twins Aug. 28 at Stampede Tack and Western Wear in Cloverdale.

Being so popular you are almost out of room is “a good problem to have,” Valley West Stampede general manager Joe Hicks explained. But it’s still kind of a problem, as in adjustments must be made to accommodate the expected flood of fans to the fifth year of the annual Langley rodeo, to be held over three days at the Langley Riders arena, from Sept. 5 to 7.

There will be rootin and there will be tootin in Langley come Labour Day weekend. The Valley West Stampede returns to the Fraser Valley for its fifth go around from Sept. 5 to 7, complete with wrestling, line dancing, a rodeo queen and even kids’ mutton busting.
Miss Rodeo Canada to honour Golden Circle Champions at VWS

Miss Rodeo Canada will be back in B.C. this coming Labour Day weekend. Abbey Harty will visit three rodeos. She’ll hit the Interior Provincial Exhibition & Stampede in Salmon Arm and the Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo in Merritt before coming to the Lower Mainland to participate in the Valley West Stampede on Labour Day.
